Took the ABC bus in Mexico

So yesterday I returned from my Mom’s in Florida and decided to take public transportation all the way to Ensenada. After walking across the border in San Ysidro with my big ass suitcase (and getting lost trying to follow google maps lol) I went to the ABC bus station. I paid for my ticket, about $15 for a 70+ mile trip…not bad! They have a bus every hour from TJ to Rosarito/Ensenada. I waited about 20 minutes which was plenty of time to rest, grab a drink and relax.

The bus comes and an attendant takes your luggage, wraps a label on the handle and gives you the other part of the label with a matching numerical code. Do they do this on Greyhound in the states? I’ve never ridden it so I don’t know. I board the bus and go to the seat listed on my ticket. Either I got lucky or all the seats are the most comfortable seats EVER! Each seat had a little tv/pc monitor to watch tv or browse the internet. Definitely a great way to travel.

It all reminded me of the public transportation in Europe. The ease, speed, cost and multitude of choices. It’s one of the things I wish the states prioritized- public transportation at an AFFORDABLE COST. As much as I love my Jeep, I would much rather just walk and take a train or bus for farther distances. Anyways…I took Pics!
